Designed to mimic the elusive shimmer of a heat mirage or ripples in water, this vase features deep, vertical waves that undulate around the form. The optical illusion creates a sense of constant movement, making the vase look different from every angle. It is a true conversation piece that balances organic chaos with perfect symmetry.

This piece is crafted using high-fidelity 3D printing technology in my studio in Aarhus, Denmark. The complex, wavy geometry pushes the material to its limit, creating smooth, flowing curves that catch the light and create deep, dramatic shadows. It looks like sculpted clay or frozen liquid, but offers the durability and lightness of modern bio-material.

Materials and care

Material: Premium PLA (Bio-polymer derived from corn starch).

Usage & Care: Best for: Dried flowers, pampas grass, or as a standalone sculptural object.

Water: I recommend using a glass insert or using it for dried botany to preserve the pristine condition of the bio-material over many years.

Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not put in the dishwasher.
